Sue Wanjiru is a versatile and creative Kenyan writer, actor and social entrepreneur with leadership training.
She is the founder of Lokhem Kids Entertainment Ltd, a social enterprise that teaches leadership skills to children through the media and leadership training programs. She wrote, directed and produced Watoto Court animation and comic book, 2019-2020, Siri 2021 and Little Africans, Big Things 2017 TV show. Through various education projects, they have reached over 3,000 children in Kenya.
Sue was the Lead actor in the Something Necessary, 2013 and the lead actress in 18 Hours film, 2017. She runs Afrikan Excellence blog profiling young African leaders who are transforming their countries.
She is an alumna of Aspiring Entrepreneurs Programme (AEP)-PAWEN 2021, African ChangeMakers Fellowship Leadership program, 2019, Mandela Washington Fellowship 2018 (U.S. State Department), African Women in Cultural Leadership, 2016, Young African Leaders Initiative, 2016, Berlinale Talents, 2015 (Acting studio), Maisha Screen Writers lab 2015, Talents Durban, 2014 amongst other International leadership programs. Sue has written short films like Wasaliti, Ruracio and Mukimo.
