Aina Randrianatoandro is a film critic based in Antananarivo (Madagascar). In january 2019, he was among the founding members of the Association des Critiques Cinématographiques de Madagascar (ACCM), the first Malagasy film critics association and which main goal concerns the promotion of film criticism in Madagascar. In january 2020, he was among the 6 young film critics under 30 selected around the world to participate in the Trainee Programme for Young Film Critics, a programme of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) which aims to support a new generation of young and upcoming film critics. In june 2020, he was the second laureate of the first pan-african film criticism competition organized by the Agence Panafricaine d’Ingéniérie Culturelle (APIC), a consulting firm specializing in editorial communication and content creation in the cultural field. In june 2021, he was among the 6 African film critics selected to participate in the Talent Press of the Durban International Film Festival. Aina Randrianatoandro is also interested in scriptwriting and writing literary works (short stories, novels).
