Dr Anna-Marie Jansen van Vuuren is a screenwriting lecturer and post graduate coordinator at the Film programme of the Faculty of Arts and Design Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). Before joining the ranks of TUT, she lectured at institutions such as Wits University, the University of Johannesburg and the University of Pretoria. Her research interests include "South African Cinema", "South African film history", “narrative”, “historical representation”, “landscape”, “ideology” and “identity” in films and drama series, with a main focus on South African feature films. Anna-Marie is actively involved in the South African film industry as a lecturer, film critic, and SABC journalist.
